About ERMAFA
Mechanical engineering from Chemnitz – since 1837
We develop smart technologies for a sustainable future
ERMAFA represents one of Germany's most traditional mechanical engineering histories. At our site in Chemnitz—a historic center of European mechanical and plant engineering—we have been developing and manufacturing sophisticated machines and systems for industrial applications for almost two centuries. What began in 1837 with the founding of Maschinenfabrik C. G. Haubold jr. is now a modern, internationally active company with deep roots in Saxon engineering.
Our history is characterized by technological pioneering spirit, continuous development, and the ability to constantly adapt to new industrial requirements. From early innovations such as the first centrifuge built in Germany to machines for rubber, plastics, and process engineering, to highly complex special-purpose machines and precision solutions: ERMAFA combines a long-standing tradition of mechanical engineering with state-of-the-art technology.
As a mechanical engineering company based in Chemnitz, Germany, we stand for quality, durability, and technical expertise—supported by experienced specialists, innovative engineers, and a close connection between practice, research, and development. This combination makes ERMAFA a reliable partner for customers and partners worldwide.
Our Values & Vision
We are optimistically shaping the future with intelligent technologies for sustainable, circular value creation – globally and responsibly.

Our quality — documented and certified
To ensure that you can rely on us at all times, we work according to clearly defined, internationally recognized standards. Quality, reliability, and systematic quality management are not just empty words for us, but a reality we live by—and we have this confirmed externally.
Our company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 —an important standard that documents our clear structures, repeatable processes, and consistent focus on customer expectations. This certification proves that we do not simply claim our performance capabilities, but live by measurable criteria and continuously develop them further.
This foundation not only allows us to build trust, but also lays the groundwork for stable processes, excellent technical solutions, and long-term success—all in line with our vision of developing smart technologies for a sustainable future.
